labor on injector install

ive come to the conclusion that i have a or some bad injectors white smoke at idle oil smells of diesel i need to take it to get the balance rates checked before i spend a ton of money because i have an edge on it and its been acting crazy saying egts been at 2100 soon as i start the truck any how just seeing what everyone else spent on injectors and labor because much as i dont want to do it i cant see paying someone else if labor too much just trying to get a ball park price also any recommended diesel peformance shops in southern MD thanks for any help kinda stuck at this point

I had mine in for maint. about 6 mo. ago in S. Texas,labor at a big rig shop was $65 Hr.it'll vary from $50 to over $100.Do a lot of carefull shopping.Know how & cost.

do it yourself. Look on merchant automotive.com. They have injectors and install kits and are a vendor here, as well as very reputable business.

I had fuel in my oil about 2 month age,50/50 mix,5 gal. total. But mine never smoked & run like a jewel.Go back & read my forum about treating deisel & oil question.

not just careful on price but quality of work..
most places will figure around $2800 with parts and labor allthough some will do it cheaper and when its cheaper then $2500 find out who "rebuilt" their injectors and believe me there are a few companies/individuals you want to stay away from..

also if you have fuel in your oil i would strongly recommend to not drive it absolutely more then you have to,fuel gets hot under strong friction and thats not a cool way to lubricate mains and rod bearings..

I paid 1200 for labor 3 weeks ago.

so just find someone who will shoot you a straight labor price and get a good set of sticks from a vendor here or one locally JMO

Theres a guy in Baltimore thats pretty good.

Theres also a guy close to me in about 45 minutes east of pittsburgh thats very good with injectors.

Thanks for the suggestions truck runs great still checked oil it was a faint smell anyhow who is a good vendor on here and can somepm me some prices thanks
