IIRC its as simple as spark plugs! Its actually loacted in the same place in the block. The hardest part is you have to disconnect the wire going to it. IIRC its a male spade on the glow plug and female on the wire. Remove the wire then loosen with a socket unthread then thread in new one and tighten! Id but the glow plug and check the new one to see how the electric plug goes on. Also, you might be able to get the glow plug from a autoparts store.

There is a 10 year 200,000 warranty on the glow plugs on 02-04 LB7 trucks, if it has California/clean fleet emissions. Which means if it has an EGR valve and a belt driven vacuum pump, and some vacuum soienoids on top of the fuel filter housing the it is covered, no charge to you.

Thanks for the heads up on the warranty I did have a glow plug go bad and Gm replaced it. just had to leave it for a day I thought maybe i would replace all at the same time so the truck isn't at the shop every other week for the same thing due to the fact they wont replace all only the one that is bad thanks again
