Fuel capacity?

I just topped off my truck with a 1/3 tank showing on the gauge. it took 24.1 gallons. I thought they had 26 gallon tanks. I normally wait for fuel light to come on and have never run out of fuel. Maybe the tank is bigger than I thought? Anyone know what the factory fuel tank holds?

which you do, cause you have a dually. Short beds are 26 gallon with the fuel all the way up the filler neck. IIRC when the low fuel light comes on you still have around 6 gallons left
