ZF to Allison swap

Has anyone on here done this or heard of it being done. I have an 03 with the ZF and thought about putting an Ally in it. I know that I could just sell my truck and get another one but I love my truck and hate to get rid of it.

I don't see why it would be impossible. You'll need to get the TCM and GM wiring harness. The cross members may be slightly different. Best bet is to find a rolled or wrecked truck and you can get everything you need. While the transmission is out would be the time to upgrade the trans.
