Cali emissions P0380 code

I've searched and tested the P0380 code on my truck with cali emissions. I tested both harnesses that are plugged into the relay, the wires in the plug on the drivers side all ohm'd out with .7 ohms. The plug on the passenger side just kept jumping around between 100 and 50 ohms. What would be the problem here? Am I even testing the glow plugs right?

i got that code constantly so i just shut it off with efilive lol.

but to test the glowplugs, unhook each one and put one lead from your dmm on the end of the plug and the other lead to the block. you should get 2-4 ohm's when testing each plug.

edit: the side that you are getting 50-100 ohm's has a short somewhere which is probably causing your problem.

Chevy has a recall/warranty update on the glow plugs situation. 10 years/200,000 miles is the coverage for the errorthat is happening. I get the same thing on my 03 and I just have to make the time to take it in and get it fixed FOR FREE.
Hope that helps.

Ive heard about this warranty multiple times as well. Is there any place i can go to see this officially in writing. Ive been to two dealers in my area and they both tell me the 10/200000 warranty isnt true. Id like my P0380 code taken care of too.
