| I just bought my 01 2500HD and I am having the same problem. 115,000 miles, all stock. Should I get then FPR checked out? This is my first diesel so my learning curve will be steep.
Thanks in advance,
Dustin |

| Mine would surge and smoke at idle. Dealer replaced 2 injectors and the injector pump. It was under 100K so it was 100% covered. With over 100K you should only have a $100 deductible.

| The fpr on gm parts direct seemed reasonably priced. It was cheaper than the dealers. I think the fpr is on the pump.

| The FPRV (fuel pressure releif valve) is on the rail, and the FPR (fuel pressure regulator ) is on the injection pump. On the LB7 the FPRV is on a junction block on the drivers side, located with the pressure sensor...any other quesions??? J/J
