I just bought an 04, within in the first month i started having the same surging problem along with long crank times. First dealer told me it was the pressure regulator and a glow plug relay. So I got the parts and replaced them, well it ran for about half an hour and died, absolute no attempts to fire just would crank and crank and crank. drug it in to another dealer and now they said the cp3 shit out(no fuel pressure at all) and now the truck sits in the drive waiting for the ups man to bring me a new one. and all this done with one hand while the other is in arm cast, pretty sweet truck(not) and the dealer i bought it from would only send me an $818.23 check for the part.
