tensioner pully

So my alternator died on me the other day and in the process of replacing that i went ahead and bought a new belt, idler pulleys, and a new tensioner pulley. Now they problem that i have is the new gates tensioner pulley i bought from napa fits good, but i can wobble it very slightly when its on the tensioner itself. So i took that one back and replaced it with another new one and it does the same thing. Im thinking screw just replacing the pulling and going with a whole new tensioner but i wanted to know it they have this type of play on a new unit. Im buying from rockauto.com and no one in town has one in stock for me to even just look at. what do you all think?

Yea they do have some wobble brand new. I bought a whole new tensioner assembly and it does have a little wobble to it. U should be fine

most common one blowing out is the idler pully...ive had them go out twice on me in about 5 years.. makes a mess under the hood..lol id just worry about the idler pully

yeah i only noticed it when i changed the idler pullys.. just seemed weird to me im use to everything being nice and tight

did your tensioner come with a plastic or metal pully? my buddy bought a new ac delco one and it came as a plastic pully
