Truck will fire, but wont start

My truck has starting doing this thing where I will crank it over, it will fire, but wont start. It takes about 4 of these to get it to run. I am thinking maybe glow-plugs, or air in the fuel. I live in Michigan, about 25*F, garage parked. I run the winter fuel additive.

just one day when it it warm, rule out that it isnt the cold. my truck did the same thing, eneded up being an injector returning to much fuel and the truck had to turn over twice as long to build up proper rail pressure to get it running. did the same excat thing as your, had to hold it till it stopped turning over atleast 4 to 5 times

If you pumped the primer would it fire up?
And how much was that repair?

As stated above sounds like you may have some injector issues. It would be on the return side of the Injector. Does your truck start any better if the fuel filter housing is primed.

I am almost 100% sure it is the glow-plugs, when it was 45 degrees out yesterday it started right up, but this morning it was 16 degrees, and it did not. I found a guy who while do the plugs for $260, that is parts and labor.

Got new glow plugs, all of them where shot. Every thing is good so far!

Had some problem with my 02. It would fire, but not start. Thought it was my batteries and after that checked out fine i thought it was my pump. Turns out it wasn't that either. I had to prime it to get air out of my fuel lines and then it fired up. I need a Complete duramax Filter head rebuild kit because my seals are shot. The kit just consist of some seals to rebuild the fuel filter head and is a $20 fix. Thought it was due to my programmer but i hadn't been running it hard, just on fuel economy but luckily it wasn't. Hope this helps if you have any other problems with it not starting down the road. These LB7' s are prone to this happening but its not a big deal.
