stumped... white smoke

okay im stumped i have a 2003 Federal LB7 its straight piped and at idle i have the white smoke blowing out i know this is an injector issue them going bad but this is the only simptom that my truck has? It only has 57,000 miles i know im beating a dead horse but i have been reading for months and just dont know

I mean i dont know if this means anything but it did sit at my uncles house for about 4 years with out being started

And one last thing its a LSSV not sure if that has any meaning but does the military run a diffrent blend of diesel on base?

Any help will be great thanks Tanner

I would also get your return rates checked if its smoking and has a strong diesel odor from the exhaust?

It very well could be your injectors. You could have an injector sticking open on the exhaust stroke and it doesnt burn, this causes white/blue smoke. But while driving the heat burns the fuel and that little leak isn't noticable. Try to free it up with additive like Power Service. I used the whole 250ml. bottle in a tank a couple times, then ran the reccomended amount from then on. It might free up that injector.

It's worth a try... But if you do need injectors definately give Brent a call! LDS has great prices and Bosch remans.
