What's the difference between a mbrp straight pipe exhaust vs a muffler delete on my lb7? Is it the same thing. Pls educate me

So why would so many people recommend putting an exhaust on a lb7?

I may be wrong but isn't a stock exhaust 3.5" and the smallest mbrp sells is 4"? other than that i'd say its the same.

The only thing I can think is bc you are going up to either a 4" or a 5" exhaust.

The mbrp is most likely 4 or 5" but neither will be much of a performance gain over stock 3.5" straight piped. But the 5" sounds mean as hell

There will be a sound difference in the different sizes but any brand straight pipe will sound like the other
