i have a 01 duramax im getting a cylnder 3 miss fire fault and trucks seems to not have power

Could be your injectors going south. How many miles on the truck? When's the last time the fuel filter was changed? I doubt that will fix your problem, but it is worth asking. BTW, Welcome to the site!

truck has 150,000 miles i just bought it used

Well, I would start by changing that fuel filter if you have no idea when it was changed last. Another thing to look at is to disconnect the PCM connectors and look for bent/loose pins. There is a pretty good chance that your truck might have had an edge or other chip on it.
