I had all 8 of my injectors replaced at 112,000 miles under the 7 year 200,000 mile warranty. My truck started white smoking again, so brought back to dealership, said all 8 injectors are bad again, but this time it is not under any warranty. The injectors have less than 40,000 miles on them, I use the cleanest diesel I can, used fuel treatment and changed my filter every 10,000 miles. But Chevy will only change injectors one time for life of the truck. So these are the so called better injectors??? Well there goes $5 grand for another set of the so called better injectors. Save you up some money you are going to need it.
Your injectors just did not fail for the right reasons, according to GM. They need high return rates or a cracked injector body. If they just have horrible balance rates they will not fix them for free anymore. Might want to learn how to do it yourself and save about 3k

Had my injectors replaced at 103081, at 122000 one of the new redesigned ones went bad. GMC dealer replaced this one as a goodwill repair and only charged me $150.00. They will no longer replace the injectors due to bad balance rates.

hey guys, about three months ago my truck started coughing and sneezing white smoke. i thought it was N1H1 so i changed the fuel filter and cleaned the mass air flow, and started using lucus injector cleaner more religously but still couldnt get over it. took the truck in yesterday and got called the this morning that it has three bad injectors. so they're going to fix it and charge me $ 45 for coolant and $100 for a deductable. Now this is after i was told that i had to cover all cost for parts and labor. i kept my cool, refered back to the forum from my iphone and quoted "toypuller" a few times. asked them to check to see if i was covered under some special notices and what do you know the dumb "chic" came back and apologized for the mistake. seems they dont do much work on chevy diesels.
o yeah the girl charged me for an oilchange on a gasser.

Well my '03 had the injectors changed at about 180,000 mi. and gues what, well now it has 220,000 and they are going bad we think. My mechanic pulled them out and took them down to get tested. So we shall see how bad these lb7 are. Even with our company mechanic doing the work it's still a few grand w/ time and material.
