 How did I know
Just pulled out on the highway and was coming up to speed, trany started down shifting then the knocking noise started. Loud enough to hear over stereo. Power was way down.
No reduced power or check engine light so I thought it broke a rod. Dealer is one that said it was an injector.
If you have this happen stop and have the truck towed to the dealer. A dead injector will cause considerable cylinder wear, the diesel fuel acts as a lube for the cylinder walls. |
