drive shaft

i recently damaged my drive shaft and was wondering if anyone knew a cheaper place the the stealership so get one. the dealership wants over 800 for the whole shaft. all i need is the front half of the rear setup. anyone ever do a conversion to a one-piece so you dont have to worry bout the carrier bearing going bad? any suggestions appreciated

yea. but because my setup is rare with the manual and 4x4. the couple that are by me had nothing.

Try a local drive line place. They may be able to help convert your setup. Good Luck

i converted mine to a one piece it runs alot better. no more broken carrier barrings. i can have one made for you for 450. i need to have the lenth.... from center to center.... thanks...

I had A 91 GMC I broke the shaft off on. I took the left overs to my local machine shop and they made a new one for me Cheap. They took a new piece of tube and welded my old yokes on it. I saw a sticker on my LMM that said if I replaced half the shaft I would have to re balance the other half, so I do not know if that will have to be done with yours.
