I had the same issues that you had and had the NSBU switch replaced TWICE (under warranty) in about 9 months. I am now running a Bully Dog and have not had an issue at all. The last NSBU switch was a redesigned switch from the original due to so many failures. I am sure the redesign is what did the trick, but I can tell you that I have not had any issues since running the BullyDog.

Thanks for the help folks. I feel pretty confident that I can choose the chip that best fits my needs (Mileage) without worrying about it effecting the NSBU again.

Ok listen, the NSBU has nothing to do with the ignition or blinkers or running out of fuel. Next time spend the $100.00 on the same thing 5000 other posters did on this site. Mine went this summer. Range shift inhibitor, only 1st and reverse, blah blah blah. I had low air pressure in the rear right tire and a dent in my tailgate but to fix the problem i replaced the nsbu first. Well that worked then i went onto the other things. I lowered the tire pressure on the other three tires and i took the tailgate off and put on one of those cool net things. I think i picked up 15hp too. Remember, its a machine, not a woman, dont let it screw with your mind.

Okay, I see your point, however, both times mine went out all that crazy stuff DID happen. Once the NSBU was replaced, the problems went away. You can say it is not related, but I have seen it first hand. Funny thing about electrical components that are basically controlled by one brain isnt it? A simple voltage change in one component CAN affect others.......Good luck with that tire pressure....

Thanks, i have since put 125 psi in there and it is riding much better. The Allison trans is controlled by and delivers info to the TCM (Transmission Control Module). I guess it is possible to have some crazy shit going on electrically if this switch is going out, could have been shorting inside, to where, i dont know.
