2004 LB7 Wait to start

The wait to start light on this stock 180000 mile truck does not EVER come on. Any advice on what direction as to what to look for? Starts fine even in the recent mid 20 weather we have had. Thanks in advance.

I would probably check the lamp first, then go from there.

Thought about that. Pulled gauges out and it is an LED or something like that. Solder in. Can you do a continuity test on them just like a regular bulb?

if its starting, i wouldnt worry about it....you do know where the light comes on at right? upper left of the cluster IIRC. Could be the controller, but i would think you would have a CEL . Do you have someone close that can scan the ECM to see?

Yes, I know where it is. I have seen it on other chevys. Just didnt know how easy it would start if it is not working when it gets real cold. I would have to take it to a shop to have it scanned. Thanks

you can go to an autoparts store and they should scan it for free.
