Do I have the correct sensor for my allison?

Truck: 2002 3500HD 2wd w/ allison 5spd.

My allison is throwing code P0843(Voltage signal from transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch 'A' too high for current operating conditions).

I bought the sensor from the dealer, but it is different from the sensor that I pulled out of the allison.

Are there other similar sensors deeper inside the transmission or did I just get the wrong part? I hope that I just got the wrong sensor, because I sure don't want to go any deeper into this transmission as I'm sure it gets complicated.

The part number that i have is 24222077. Is this the correct part number that would correlate to the malfunctioning sensor?

From the pictures, you can see the difference between the two.

I would have to say you got the wrong part. You have a 02.. Maybe they gave you the sensor for the 6 speed?

Ok, I went back to the dealer and it was the wrong part.

However, the "correct" part that the computer pulls up on
the schematics is exactly the same as the part I removed, except that two of the sensor pads are missing. It even has positions for them, but they are not there.
On the old sensor, if you number them from left to right, the 2nd and 4th sensor pads are not on the part that the dealer pulls up for my application???

I'm throwing the same code (843) plus 727. Let me know if replacing the pressure switch fixes your problem, I'll do it myself instead of taking it to the dealer
