How much to replace head gasket

Just curious as to how much it cost to replace a blown head gasket? Hoepfully i dont have this problem anytime soon.... is there a way for the dealer or even myself to check to see what kind of shape the head gasket is in...or if it is going bad?

It usually takes about 30 hours for both. My shop removes the engine to do it.

What took you the most time? It's always the turbo that seems to go slower than it should for us.
