engine heater??

just bought a 03 d-max...it dosn't appear to have an engine block heater( think thats what its called) the manual says its down sumwhere by the power steering pump. I may be blind but i can't find it, i looked in the bumper too...all ova the front end..is this common for these not to have them...i live in michigan by the way!

I have a 2007 Classic 2500HD that I just bought this last summer. In the manual it directed me to the same location to find the plug for the block heater. I looked and could never find it. I asked the service rep at the dealership I bought the truck from and he made me look like a retard. Try looking on the positive cable of the battery that is on the passenger side of the truck, that is where I was pointed to and where I found the block heater plug.

I just went through the same thing on my '01, passenger side. They did say though not to plug it in unless it is below 0 or you will get a warning code for something

ha yeah im feelin like a retard too now...thats about the only place i didn;t look..sure enough its there. thanks for ur guys help.
