Trans Temp --->210 ??

Today I noticed that my trans temp was 210. It redlines at 260-270. Is running at 210 normal on an 80 degree day with no load in city traffic? The reason I ask is because I bought a fifth wheel and plan on taking it up to the mountains. It does not feel like I have that much play in the trans temp if on a normal 80 degree day it is running 210 with no load in city traffic and redline is 260. Thanks

That a bit on the hot side. You might want to change your spin on filter if it's been a while.

Also using the Tow Haul (T/H) button will lock your converter in second gear and should lower your tranny temps while driving in stop and go traffic.

Make sure your fluid is not over full as well, I just had a bad experience with this, It was about 1 quart over full and caused it to overheat.

I would also change your spin on filter if its been a while!!

It helps out,dirty filters restrict the pressure,and we all know it needs fluid pressure to live.
