SLIPPING TRANS?????? So my 2003 LB7 was a little slow so I cleaned out the intake and air filter and it helped it out greatly. When I bought it 2 months ago it literally wouldn't go over 2500 rpm because of this problem and wouldn't downshift when I floored it. Now it's fine but I ran into another problem

When I floor it from a stop and I get to about 45mph and it's in 3rd gear right before it hits 3000 rpm it drops to 2700 rpm (not shifting) but the mpg keep going and don't stop. Then I hit 4th and 5th perfectly. What could be the problem with this and why does it keep accelerating even though it drops in rpms like it hit another gear but it didnt?

Pic for attention

It sounds like it's just your torque converter locking.
