Rob, the dealer has never performed any tests on it. They have told him there are no tests??? My dad is old school and he has only talked to the dealer where he ordered it new. He thinks that any other dealer will not work on it. He spends like 4 months in FL and could have brought it to the dealer down there...but no he will not. I keep telling him that his dealer has not done anything so why keep going back. You see, he is good guy who is real nice about everything.

I have a vendor up there in PA that works on our OTR trucks. I am going to call the owner tommorow and have them look at it. It is not a Detroit but those HD diesel guys know truck engines. I'll see what they say. Do you think that is a good idea. Not going to let them turn a wrench on it, but this vendor keeps a 100+ truck fleet running and handles our KW/Pete/Volvo/FL repairs. They've got to know something about these.

hi, i have the same problem with 260k on my 03. it started at 220k, then started to smoke blue around 240k. the smoking got alot worse in the last two weeks. i took it to Deisel Specialists, they said it needs a valve adjustment and new injecters.
