New Injectors = New Truck

I just had the injectors replaced in my 02 LB7 and man what a difference. It is actually like driving a totally different truck. The power return was amazing. I had know idea how bad the old injectors must have been. Those of you that are in the parameters for replacement under GM's recall on the injectors I strongly recommend you look into your replacement. Does anyone know if you have to have a failure before they will replace them. I had a failure is the only way I knew.

Thanks to those in the forums that gave me the advice to go in and ask about the recall. I have 6 months left on the extended warranty and am thankful to you folks in here about the heads up.

Yeah I would also like to know if the injectors have to go out before they replace them or if I could bring my truck into the dealer and have them replaced before they go out. Thanks a ton guys.

Ususally they won't replace them until there is a problem. I think that they check em for free? Someone tell me if I'm wrong. But most likley you'll know when they start to go bad. It costs the dealer and GM a nice chunk of money to replace them, so they won't give you new ones til they're bad.
