air intake assembly question

i have seen two oem intakes
one intake had noise suppresser and one did not
the one with out was suppost to have come off of 02 lb7 the one with suppresser fits 01-04

What came off of my truck 01 chevy lb7?
it had an 05 box in it when i bought it

Is there a 6.6 engine cover for the intake with no suppresser
Thanks

I'd think you can get a 6.6 cover about anywhere for pretty cheap. As for not having the supressor... the 6.6 cover is a "resonator" for the turbo, is that what your talkin about? Lots of people do the resonator plug mod. Check this out...: Louder whistle sounds good.

hmm I'm not totally sure, but i think the LB7's used a tube, or hose or something like that to go from the intake to the resonator. Hopefully somebody that knows for sure can help you better than I can.

The lb7s had different turbos so it would be my guess that it would not fit, but i don't know this for a fact.

My AEM intake on my LB7 has no place for the resonator. I don't think any of the after market intakes have a place to hook it on. My 6.6 cover is sitting in the garage.

im pretty sure none of the lb7 motors had the covers with the resonators, so the right intake wouldnt have an outlet for the resonator

My LB7 had one, but the K&N intake look similar to this one, and the original intake and resonator and all are in storage...
it also had the 6.6 cover
