02' GMC duramax, 160767 miles on it.
pumping oil out of crankcase vent?? Losing all engine oil within 2 days

sounds like bad blow by. I have seen this before on a cummins,sounds like your rings are junk.

Does the oil smell like diesel fuel? If so than its your injectors definently. Does your truck seem to be "making oil"? Thats one of the common signs for injector failure, which is very common for the LB7 dmax's. Other signs are hard starting, white smoke at idle, loss of power. Your injectors are covered by GM for 7 years/200,000 miles. I would take it into your dealer ASAP!!! Get em replaced for FREE!!!

I would be willing to bet that its the injectors. VERY common.

took to dealer, confirmed that injectors were bad, free repalcement.
