Suncoast 6 speed conversion kit for Allison 1000

Does anyone know how the 6 speed conversion kit for the allison 1000 tansmision works? I putting this upgrade on my wish list and like to understand it more?

They just use a different combo of the existing clutch packs in the 5 speed allison. Takes a different valve body and trans computer.

how many people have this? is it worth it? i've heard about 1.5 mpg. is this right real world? with fuel prices i'm more than curious

For the $1650 they want for it I don't know if 1.5 MPG is worth the money. For me it's not but if you drive alot it might be.

You also have to consider how much hwy driving you are gonna do. You will only be saving fuel while in 6th gear, all the rest of the gears are still just like the 5 speed.
