Loss of Power/Shift indicator message..

so yesterday i noticed when i fired up my truck, it clicked, paused then started. radio reset and stuff like the battery just disconneted. thought it was weird.

later that day it did the same thing but then it wouldnt go into gear. said shift indicator something (flashed to fast for me to read) put back in P and then tried to get it in D again. worked. started driving and noticed it was shifting really hard. Battery guage was waving up and down constantly. put it in P let it sit for a sec. Started driving again and the truck just died, but started back up on its own about a second later and seemed fine besides the radio reseting again. shut it off. no codes...

Started back up and drove the rest of the day just fine.....

now about every 5 starts or so randomly it will click and reset the radio just before it turns over.

ive checked all my connections. just put a new alternator on about 3 weeks ago. thinkin bout pulling it off and trying a new one ( life time guarentee)

SORRY for the long post. any suggestions?!?
thanks

THats kinda a weird one, Sounds like maybe a battary shorting out internally or some sort of bad connection somewhere but it sounds like you have them covered.

Common causes of the shift range message are from a bad NSBU switch but ive never heard of one causing the truck to shut down or charge funny!

also ill add. i recently lost my keys. so i had to get one made. i thought maybe that was causing something to fail with the ignition switch. but i have found my original key and still acting the same way..
