Irratic RPM, Engine dies

Hey guys need some help. My truck will be going down the road and suddenly the rpm's jump around, no power then the engine dies. Won't start right away. Let it sit for a min or so then it will start. The monitor on my Edge chip will not register anything unless it sets for a short period of time. Just trying to figure out if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it......

Ok first off, how long's it been since you changed your fuel filter? If it's been more than about 5k miles, change it. Otherwise I'm not sure, maybe FPRV? Sounds like a classic stopped up fuel filter to me. Otherwise I don't know... maybe a short or something to do with the remote start?

Try unplugging the edge and see if it still dose it. If it works like its supposed to with it unhooked then you need to check all the pins on the harness of the edge and make sure there aren't any that are loose.

just changed my filter yesterday and still has the problem. Unhooked the Edge and has done it yet, but haven't driven it very far either. If the pins on the connections were to be bad, wouldn't it not work all the time?

I made sure that all plugs were locked in place. Took the truck in to get scanned. Had a code P0193 (I think that was the code). Fuel rail pressure??? Could this be from faulty injectors or fuel pump?? Or even the Edge chip itself?

I disconnected my Edge and it hasn't acted up. So I hooked it back up and in a short period of time back to the same thing. I would leave it unhooked but can't afford to drive it without the Edge. My mileage goes to crap. Does anyone know what to replace and about how much $ it would cost. Plan on doing it myself if its not to much hassle...Thanks for any info.
