WOT ... which is better

So, now that I am running a tune finally I was wondering about the tow haul deal. It looks like tow haul locks the converter in 2-5 instead of just 4-5 (is that right) if I am just tooling around town not towing and doing some WOT's burnin some rice... should I have it in tow haul mode or leave it in the normal mode (for stock transmission purposes)?
lovin the power of my new truck and this forum is awesome!!! (the better half of me is getting a little tired of the truck and me reading so much on this forum)

i always use tow haul while racing, but even when tow/haul is off during a WOT run the T/C still locks in 2nd gear. The tranny learns your driving habbits for tow/haul on and off. So i try to do all my hot rodding with tow haul and normal driving without.

I agree with BRC on that! I use tow haul when racing and pulling so the truck shifts at the correct shift point to use all the available power!

I can sympathize about the better half not being thrilled about the time on the forum!! She says I love my truck more than her. She may be onto something!!!

You sure can, and if I'm not mistaken, our turbos are ball bearing oil cooled units that will have a very short life if you shut your truck off when your EGT's are still high.
