All i knew when i bought my lbz was that i wanted an 06 or 07 GMC or Chevy Duramax and i ended up with an 07 Classic Siverado and I love it. I hope i never have to back to a gasser.

I voted LB7, but thats because I will never won a stock truck. With Billet Injector Clamps and injector studs the LB7 is very stout for maximum performance.
For stock trucks I would have to vote LBZ. Great motor stock and a little bit of emissions removal and tuning really wakes it up. Cracked pistons are the only complaint I have about them.

i hear ya,allthough the LBZ when tuned right is living at 600-650HP better then the LB7 plus with tuning only(including tranny upgrade and lift pumps)they can see mid 12's..

my opinion is if your on a budget lb7 if you got cash lbz i personally like the lb7 if you get past the injector issue the motor itself is very reliable you dont have the egr, or internall pcv system just a hose off the valve covers that goes to an open hose no contaminated oil meens fewer oilchanges. they also seem to have fewer issues with low rail pressure problems. have a straight rate turbo so an off the shelf programmer can be used if you decide to go bigger. but if you got money all these issues can be taken care of just a little bit more prep to get set up. efi live on lly up is definite must if you go bigger on the turbo.
