Bully Dog?????

Hey guys I know the BD isn't what most people like to run on Dmax but I have the Triple Dog which I'm going to use off my dodge. I will be hauling a 6 horse trailer from Tx to CA then up to WA and back. It will be loaded most of the time. I think it weighs abound 8k-9k empty. The tow economy setting is only like 40 hp. I was wondering if I could run on the performance setting which 75 I think without my egts getting to hott. I dont have any gauges this why I am asking. Does anyone have any exp with hauling with the BD and what could you run it at without getting hott. I don't know the Dmax engine as well as the cummins so I need help guys. Thanks

You might want to check into that....because I don't think a Dodge programmer can run on a DMax. But if it can, and you are towing, I would keep it on the 40HP setting. Without gauges, you never know what you are getting yourself into.

the triple Dog can be reporgrammed for the Duramax so he is cool there..

if you have a straight exhaust i would say go ahead if not your running an aweful big risk in my book.

Yea I would invest in a pyro and boost gauge. When I had a bully dog on my truck the egts would get pretty high

It has a 4 diamond eye muffler and dumps infront of the rear axle. I will more than likely stick to T/E but 40hp and 75 ft lbs just doesnt seem like much. Anyone know about the stock clutches will it hold the performance tune...it should cuz perf is only like 76 hp and 130 ft lbs tq

on a duramax, the triple dog is like 110 hp and 230 ft. lbs. 0n the tow haul setting it feels like it helps a little when pulling.
