Wats the best intake for a LB7 dmax, that works and is cheap? AEM? AFE? K&N? BANKS? etc. etc.

You will get mixed feelings on this one, but IMO the best bang for your buck is the S&B system. I don't think you will notice much gain with any of them as the stock system is more than sufficient. About all an aftermarket system is good for is a little more turbo whistle.

Stock is fine up to 500HP..and filters better. But if you want aftermarket, best bang for buck is S&B. Me personally....I like my Banks.

I have the AFE Stage 2 and love it, but I wish I would have known about the stock being good up to 500rwhp, then I would have spent my money elsewhere on the truck.

I think you can even modify the stock air box for improved air flow, according to ppe.

S&b is the best value, by far.

so any real life MPG gain with any of the intakes over stock?

it would be nice to see a comparison with stock, S&B, and Banks all on the same truck to see if one was really better then another for MPG.
