I used a good quality silicone sealant on my LLY. I can't tell you what kind it was though, it came in a gasket kit for something I worked on at work.

Not to sound like a complete moron, but the LLY has a gasket? Just did my mouthpiece mod (porting out, etc. just to see what difference it makes to see if I'd want to go with the KB setup) yesterday and didn't have any gasket in any way, shape, or form- just the clamp???? Am I missing something on mine (first time I've been in mine).

I have had my mouthpiece off twice, once looking for a fuel leak, and when I put the LBZ mouthpiece on. Both times there was sealant on it, but no gasket. BUT, prior to both times my truck had been to the dealer and the mouthpiece had been removed by the tech. So I don't know if the sealant was an "extra" from the tech, or if the factory puts it on too. If nothing else it is added protection.
