By adjusting the Big Head isnt there a problem with over-speeding the turbo? I remember reading that in the installation instructions. Or is that just in extreme situations?

When you are in the 32-35 psi range on a stock turbo then you have to worry about over spinning the turbo.

Personally spend the $20 and buy the PPE boost valve. Cheap and easy to install and keeps your boost at a safe level.

Its simple to install, 2-3 bolts on the back side of the compressor housing that hold the bracket to the turbo. The you'll need some compressed air to put the shaft of the big head actuator on the wastegate, then put the c-clip in place to keep it put. To adjust pressure for when it opens take the c-clip off and shorten or lengthen the shaft.

Yeah you'll be fine. It's when you hit 32-35 your turbo is on borrowed time.
