EFI LIVE ECU reflash???

Hey guys,
I bought my truck used. I have tried to put a couple different programs on it and they were rejected. I was thinking of sending off my ECU to a guy who does the EFI Live tunes. He offers a "reflash" service where he can put either 3 or 5 tunes on a ECU and have a knob to select. Do ya'll think this is a good idea?
I would just buy the EFI live but I don't know how well I would be able to operate it since it is such an indepth tuner.
Thanks for ya'lls input.

EFI isn't for everyone... It has a very 'steep' learning curve. But with the right support on the other end of the phone, it can be done successfully.

Who might you be talking to about the new ECM?

Let me know if I can help..

Thanks!

Jess

It is a fella up in Illinois. I have talked to him on the phone and online. He has a lot of instructional videos on his site. I just can not find the web address right now, I will post it on here once I find it.
I am still WAY open to suggestions. I am currently deployed and have some time on my hands before I have to make a decision on what to do with my truck.
Is there any other way to get better milage out of my truck? It gets it best mileage at 64mph. I got 20 unloaded one time and then the MAF code came up as well as some dirty fuel issues. Now I get 14mpg unloaded and 12 pulling my boat. This really adds up after a little bit. I would like to get that "ghost" program off of my ECM and get a true stock setting as well as a mild towing mode (28' cattle trailer) and one mode to blow a little smoke, nothing crazy just little more that I would haul cattle with.
