ive just bought a 2002 chevy 3500 had the truck 2 days and the trans was slipping the dealership installed a trans star revuild in it will that stand up to putting a chip or programer? as i know the stock trans will not. am looking to add at least 100hp. any help or insite would be much appreciated

My other Chevy is an 05 Impala, 3.4 V-6, 4spd auto, 36mpg hiway @ 65mph
going down the rd seemed to slip out of gear and rev up. the dealership put the new trans in there and i didnt have to pay for it after weeks of struggling with them. and it gos on after they put the trans in dealership said the truck was still throwing a code something about the cam sensor they ended up putting a newer motor in the the truck now last i talked to them a few days ago it all summed up to a fork of some sort in the transfer case.....
