trans star??

ive just bought a 2002 chevy 3500 had the truck 2 days and the trans was slipping the dealership installed a trans star revuild in it will that stand up to putting a chip or programer? as i know the stock trans will not. am looking to add at least 100hp. any help or insite would be much appreciated

Bump! I do not know anything about the trans star rebuilds, never heard of them actually. I'm sure the others on the site will fill in your answer.

How do you know the trans is slipping? What codes did you get?

going down the rd seemed to slip out of gear and rev up. the dealership put the new trans in there and i didnt have to pay for it after weeks of struggling with them. and it gos on after they put the trans in dealership said the truck was still throwing a code something about the cam sensor they ended up putting a newer motor in the the truck now last i talked to them a few days ago it all summed up to a fork of some sort in the transfer case.....
