not nearly as easy as it sounded..
I couldn't just pull it up, as it has way to much pressure on it.
I went to Bank's website and got info on the big head wasetgate and it said to put compressed air to the port deal on the side(where the hose connects on to it) that released pressure on it but not enuff to get the studs (that the nuts where on) to come out of the bracket mount so I could turn it like you stated...
what should I do??

I talked to a buddy of mine and his 2001 has two bolts in the line that hooks to the wastegate as to plug the line. his truck hits 32 psi of boost.

Did you use an air compressor on it? How much PSI? That's what I used and it worked.

I did use a compresser and about 100 psi I guess. the banks info explained to use a regulated air supply. how regulated? how much did you use?
thanks again!

Yep I wouldn't run over 30 psi on a stock LB7 turbo.

I don't remember I think it was in the 120-150 psi range it's been awhile since I did it last.

Yeah 32psi is just asking for it to go bye bye. He'd probably be better off with less boost. That air is probably so hot that it's doing no good.
