yeh it a real good mod. for ur truck! You can adjust your boost psi. to whatever you feel you need to. Most guys run the stock lb7 turbos at or between 26-32 psi. stock is only like 18 psi. so with the wastegate you can get alot more boost. also you could buy a ppe boost valve which will take the boost level from stock upto about 25-27 psi. also the boost valves are only 26.00

i guess if your a teenager its the cool thing to put your age on here.. soo im 19 and yes i paid for my truck and everything on it not my parents!
It's not a bad mod. But the thing is, the added boost doesn't do any good unless you have enough fuel to burn with the extra boost. So if you're running a tune with no smoke it won't do any good. If you're fogging out lanes of traffic, this will help clean up some of the smoke and get you a little more power.
And FWIW, about 28-30psi is as far as you'd want to push the LB7 turbo. Over that is very much into the danger zone
So you all are saying it is better to run the ppe boost valve over the banks big head and that you get about the same boost from the ppe. I was wanting to install the big hoss bundle with duel exhaust, what would you recommend instead?

full banks kit=4" exaust, six-gun tuner, intercooler and under hood piping, intake. not my first choice but it was all there when I bought it.
It has 2 nuts on the back side of the head take those off and then you have to pull it up and spin it clockwise to add boost. Do a little at a time so you don't go too far.

if you really want to get a wastegate over the PPE vavle, get the BD wastegate. its the exact same wastegate, just without the 40 dollar sticker (they are 160 instead of 200 bucks).
