There are big differences from one brand to the next. Most "budget" kits are made as cheap as possible and will not fit the greatest, have a short warranty (if at all), and come with several more pieces than higher quality kits. Because of these problems, we worked with MBRP to come up with a budget minded kit that is high in quality and fits right the first time. We now have the MBRP S6004PLM which is a 4" straight piped kit for under $260 shipped to your door. You can find some others out there for a few bucks cheaper, but they are not worth the headache.

I have the 4" MBRP budget series downpipe back and it went together so easy i stopped halfway through to make sure I was doing it right. The directions are a little vague and UPS did ding the end of one of the pipes so i had to massage that a bit so it would slip together but that wasnt the manufacturers fault. For the price I am extremely priced with the performance of it.

In most cases the "budget" kits use a thinner gauge metal to cut down on material costs. For people in the southern states without the dreaded salt slush we get here they work quite well.......but in the rust belt I always try to recommend a premium SS kit for longevity.

Put your factory exhaust back on for inspections. Thats what all my Cali customers do.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that. I really don't want to store an exhaust. I guess that's part of the so-called sunshine tax right?

Just keep the front pipe that has the cat on it.
