Do you recommend any writeups / posts on rebuilding the bottom end? This flies in the face of what I'd read, so kind of concerned. I'm dumb enough to do this stuff myself (I plan on putting the Suncoast kit in myself).
Rods and some cut LLY pistons the least. there are plenty of threads on the net about motor builds. Check out over on duramax diesel .com, its more of a hot rod diesel site. Plenty of info over there. also where have you been reading all this info that a 700hp is the beginning of stock bottom end safety?

I saw some posts on here, the diesel place .com and talked to someone while i was at The Hammers in Johnson Valley, a performance builder (he said 650 or so, IIRC).
a few, and they also knew they could be doing a rebuild at any point...
Definitely good to know. I appreciate the information correction. I doubt I'll be anywhere near pushing the bottom-end damaging power until I have better turbo, though.
Does anyone have any input on the Banks Intercooler System? Any good for lowering EGTS?
Todd runs one, and I have sold a few to others with great results. I will be installing one come spring. Our warm weather is over here.
He asked about them, I didnt just through it out there lol.
oh, my bad didnt see it, lol. I was wondering if it was Todd that was running one. I debated this awhile back, I'm going to have to talk to todd and see what he thinks of it and what he saw with it.
