edge juice w/ attitude and tow/haul

A buddy of mine has a '02 CC SB 4X4 5" straight pipe exhaust and just installed an Edge Juice w/ attitude. He was driving it today and noticed that his tow/haul didn't work. Does the edge juice control that now? Does the edge change shift points like the tow/haul feature would? Any help would be appreciated.

No, the edge shouldnt mess with the tranny shift points. It will shift different, but that is because of the added power. He has a different issue. Maybe the wire that goes to the switch is broke or the switch is bad? Can he do OD lockout? (i cant remember if you could do that with an 02 or not though)

OD lockout? How do you do that? And I didn't think the chip should mess with the tow/haul...

I have 2001 with Edge Juice/w attitude and the tow/haul works fine. It does not take over that control. The tow setting is just a mild one that helps keep the egts and trans temp down. I've not had trouble with my edge but it seems that a lot of people have had troubles with the edge juice on these trucks. I'd give edge a call and see what they say.

What kind of problems have people had w/ this chip/truck combo? I'll be heading out to his place later tonight to give him a hand w/ it. Any suggestions on where to start? I was thinking of removing the chip, driving the truck to see if tow/haul works and going from there.

Overdrive lockout...push and hold the tow/haul button for over a second. there should be a light that comes on with a D and a line through it.

I think that you are on the right track. Unhook it and see if your symptom goes away. Then you'll know if its the edge causing it or not.

Ok. We got it figured out. Everything works. He wasn't pushing the button hard enough since the truck is about 8yrs old the button is gettin worn out. Thanks every1 for all your help.
