Defuel needs to be on.(It will help your tranny last longer).
Go to beginning when you first hook it up and go to trans reset.

It injects the fuel sooner in the cylinder cycle so the explosion is sooner which is harder on the engine because of increased pressure. I would have it on because you are looking for more power, which automatically will decrease your engine life.

You may still get 350,000 miles out of your engine, and if you are concerned about engine life leave it on stock settings!

I have the increased timing option on in my truck!

the trango jr does nothing for the 5 speed allison. the allison will learn to shift back to normal. The only real way to make your tranny last is to do a full build on the tranny.

You can damage the tranny on "3" and even lower setting if you are an aggressive driver. The only thing you can do is be light footed, when shifting 4 to 5 and 5 to 4.

The TransGo Jr can help a little on the 5 speed by improving the shifting. It does help the 6 speed more because they have better clutches.

I dont think that is the case..i think they use the same clutches. the reason the transgo jr works better on the 6 speeds is because they already have the upgrades that come in the full trango kit for the 5 speeds.
