Programmers

I have a Bully Dog Triple Dog right now but I want more power and smoke with only a programmer, atleast for now. I was looking into the PPE standard Xcelerator with 225HP. Any suggestion for the best programmer for power and smoke?

to the forum!

PPE will smoke in more ways than one...do you have a tranny that is built? If you dont, it will only be time until it is smoked. Smoke is looked down upon since it is the reason why there are DPF now. PPE tuning is better than bully dog tuning wise.

Do you have any other mods to your truck? what year truck?

PPE is a great choice. They will not smoke much until you get into the higher settings. That in return is hard on your trans if it is stock. If I can help let me know.

a shift kit wont help that much. You need to do the full transgo to help out the 5 speed and it requires you to pull the tranny to get it installed.

You will need more than a shift kit on the 5 speed.

^x2 the PPE is a good choice bullydog doesn't do alot I have tested the triple dog myself and was not impressed...if you are looking for for more power thats cheap also check out the quadzilla stealth 2 they are decent not as powerful as the PPE but way more then a bullydog and their tunes smoke alot on the higher settings...just think though you could show your buddies your truck was faster and it doesn't even smoke clean tunes are better anybody can smoke but not very many can run clean and fast...I only like a smokey tune for racing or pulling not for the road it really does get old pouring smoke everywhere you go

Where I come from black smoke is normal... everyone has seen semi's, tractors, and old unmodified diesels for years. It's the city D-bags that have never pulled a trailer and never will blowing smoke in the suburbs and city's....smoke it if you got it

A fuel system if you want to take full advantage of the high tunes.
