question about a efi tuner?

I have found a efi tuner for sale, ,the guy who has it says its a 200hp tune for a 2006 duramax, will this work in my 2001? Do they make only 1 model of the efi tuners? what do I all need from him to make this work in my truck? The guy is asking $200 for it, oh and do you have to unlock this from his truck, the reason i am asking is i was going to buy a diablo predator and it needed to be sent to them to get unlocked. Thanks for any info Tom

No it will not work on your truck..the tune that is. EFI is way better than the diablo, but you either have to spend the time to learn it or talk with some of the tuners here on the site and buy some tunes for your truck. You dont have to get it unlocked, but u may have to buy a license to tune your truck which is about 100. Which EFI is it? V1 or V2?
