The water and meth are atomized into the intake charge through two injectors thus cooling the air and the methanol acts as an additional fuel.

Water meth injection can lower your EGT's and give you some added power, If you run straight water it will only cool your EGT's but depending on the mix of methanol 30% 50% 75& or 100% will claim to give you added power im not an expert on it but this is all to my knowledge the water adds higher pos. pressure and allows for complete combustion while added methanol is just another fuel added to the chamber

alright, cool. So would this be beneficial only if you are pulling or running your truck hard?

the mix of methyl alcohol and water cool the intake air making it more dense so more air can enter the turbo/cylinder...the meth makes a more efficient combustion and helps burn the extra fuel (similar to NOS but not as hardcore)...then the remaining water turns to steam with high temps. causing a "steam engine" effect and raising cylinder pressure.

so yeah it will help out in all situations but there is just a greater need for it in high temp. applications...there should still be an increase in MPG and power no matter what, the #'s would just be based on the kit

Does this run constantly while the truck is running or just on the flip of a switch?

It is at the flip of the switch or some are preset when the switch is on it will wait till you hit a minimum amount of boost to shoot in some water/methanol

^^yup...also they have the comp. controled units now with multiple injectors so they can run small amounts to compensate for low boost levels so you don't get pooling they help with the MPG even more so than regular systems
