Banks Bullet Good/Bad ???

I purchased my D-max about 8 months ago and I am just starting to upgrade it. I have begun looking into programmers and tuners and have narrowed my choice down to the Banks Bullet w/EGT. But before I buy I wanted some opinions on the Bullet.

My truck is mostly a daily driver but does pull trailers once or twice a week. I am not looking for any serious go-fast power yet, but the truck could use some help getting on the freeway.

Would I be headed the right direction starting with a tuner, or do I need to get exhaust and/or air intake upgrades first?
If I were to also get the ppe boost valve would the Bullet read the new boost pressures? Or do I need to get a waste gate?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The bullet looks likes like a ok product at a very reasonable price for a banks product. If it were me i would probally go with a edge juice with the moniter. I have no experience with the bullet but bank sstuff is usually under powered IMO and 60 hp isnt much of a gain. The only down side to the edge is the price but you can pick up a used on pretty reasonable!

Don't buy a Banks Bullet....you'll be wasting your money. My advice to you is, don't buy a CAI, waste of money, go buy an exhaust first, let you truck breathe better and get lower EGTS, then go get yourself some actual guages like Autometer and a pillar pod, and then buy a PPE or EFI live. I have a Banks product and the power is great despite what other people say, but no gas mileage increase, and if I ever want to get higher boost readings, it won't happen with the PDA....and the same goes for the Edge monitor. After I upgrade my tranny, I will be purchasing EFI live to get better mileage and fine tune my truck to be a beast. With that 60HP increase, you probably won't even notice it being there.
