My AK5 went boom 15 minutes after install!!!

Gus, get a stubby handle 3/8" drive ratchet, about an 8" extension, and a deep well socket. Remove everything as you have done, and pop the compressor housing off (it gives you a little room) the turbo. Crawl up on the core support and get a flashlight, your going to have to work from the bottom up by feel, but you will be able to look in from the sides and see what you are doing. This is the easiest way I came up with to get that thing off, I've had it off a couple of times and it always took me about a half hour, with 20 minutes of it being spent removing the oil drain bolts.

Thats what we tried to do but can't get the housing off because of the hard plastic wiring harness casing thats right in front of the of the turbo. Theres not enough slack to move it forward to get the housing off. I don't know if the newer engines have this black plastic wiring harness POS but my old LB7 and its a PITA everytime I do any work to it.
