Exhaust hangers

Okay, so i have a MBRP cool dual exhaust on my truck and the left rear most exhaust hanger broke. When it broke it actually made a hole in the pipe. The exhaust is stainless steel and and the hanger I'm assuming is steel, and thats why it broke the way it did. so I'm wondering if call MBRP and try to get if fixed or just take it to a exhaust shop myself and have a stainless hanger welded on. i attached a couple of photos to help out. sorry for the large pictures my editing program to shrink is acting funny today.

i would give mbrp a call, the reason for buying stainless is for it to not corrode and they have a lifetime warranty if your the orriginal owner. you might just get a new exhaust out of the deal

I would call MBRP. That hanger should not have broke off.

Stainless is not supposed to do that.

Are you sure that's stainless? I never saw stainless do that before. The hanger itself didn't give out, the stainless did. Maybe too much heat when welded. Anyway, if you bought it, I would call them. If not, just go have it welded again. Shouldn't be much of a problem.

For them to replace it, you will have to take it off, send it back, they wil inspect it and determine if it is a warranty issue, then send one back...or like I said, just take it to a shop and have them weld it, just throw a little silver rattle can over the weld to make sure it doesn't corrode and you are good to go. A lot less hassle. Thats just my .02

thanks for the input guys. I'm not the original purchaser so I think I'm going to miss out getting them to fix after i did a little research on the exhaust.I think that I'm going to have to go to an exhaust shop and have it repaired.

By the looks of things, you may want to get some new shocks too, they are rusting out pretty bad too.
