Performance injectors?

It doesnt seem like too many people with duramaxs run aftermarket injectors why is that? Are they capable of high horsepower or is it just to expenisive for the daily drivers?

The stock injectors are good for 600 hp maybe a little more. The will flow enough that you need to worry about internal engine parts first.

i know that the stock lb7 injectors go bad. when they do go, will the after-market injectors fail the same as the oem? i dont think they will but id rather be safe then sorry. any other comments are welcome.

STOCK injectors for the newer LBZ's and LMM's are right at 1,000 dollars each, that could be the best reason I would think. 1'000 times 8 improved pump to feed em,ya get the point....8 grand just for injectors??? The latest issue of max torque says the newer injectors are very pricy...

I have a friend who but aftermarket injectors. They was basicly the same as oem. Really couldnt tell a difference in looks or perfromace. Buy the oem they are just as good.

the OEM ones can fuel up to 700-800HP so doing aftermarket ones is kinda pointless and also doing 8 ofem with them being well over $500 each is alot of money to spend if the ones you have work..

did your friend do any other mods, how far did he take them? I know some people who will tell you that the first thing to do to upgrade a truck is larger injectors before you even max out what you already have, with what the oem injectors will handle for HP it would take quite a few other upgrades to one of these trucks before larger injectors will be a BIG benefit...IMO

I could be wrong, but he still would need a little more before the injectors would make a big enough difference to notice...
